I've been playing drums since I was born. In school I played with orchestras, jazz bands, marching bands, and every rock/punk/grunge band I could get my hands on. In college I played with university jazz ensembles, a few rock bands, and toured with the jam-band Healthy Doses from 1999 to 2000.
From 2002 to 2008 I played with The Crash Motive (formerly Omnisoul). After being courted by numerous major record labels, we ended up signing a deal with the smaller Wind-up Records in 2005. We were fortunate enough to be able to record tracks in studios from Los Angeles to New York City, tour the country and play with bands like The All-American Rejects, Lifehouse, Plumb, The B-52's, Live, and Collective Soul, work with top industry figures like Phil Nicolo, Ritchie Rubini, Gregg Wattenberg, Don Gilmore, Eddie Jackson, Greg Gordon, and Nick DiDia, and even film a "music video" in Hollywood. Our album Consequence was finally released nationally in October of 2007, and included the tracks Waiting (Fantastic 4 Movie and Soundtrack, and CBS's Joan of Arcadia) and Not Giving Up (EA Sports' Madden NFL 07, over 30 NFL/MLB/NBA/NHL sports arenas, ESPN's Baseball Tonight and NFL Live, NBC TV placements, and the 2008 NFL Super Bowl half-time highlights reel). Drum! Magazine also wrote up a very favorable review of the album in their January 2008 issue. By that time I had endured enough of the music industry for my liking and decided to leave the band.
Since then I've been teaching drum lessons and writing music in my new home studio. I have a few projects going on right now that I am very excited to share, and will be able to share soon. I also hope to get back into gigging and studio session work in 2009. Contact me!

"Consequence is a songs album, and Tyler Ingersoll plays his role. The drumming is solid, tasty stuff - the right grooves, feels, and fills. Call it creativity within context." - Drum! magazine, January 2008
